A Cleveland victory came alive with balloons, brass, and fast internet as we celebrated our 6,000th connected household.
In the Clark-Fulton neighborhood, we surprised Aaliyah — a Cleveland Metropolitan School District parent — and her family with live music, pizza, and community partners who turned a simple install into an unforgettable moment.
Every connection is a new chapter in Cleveland’s path from worst to first, now bringing 15,000+ residents online with possibility, opportunity, and pride.
“We are connected from the middle mile to empower the last mile. And to do it right, we go the extra mile. That’s how we get to 6,000.” — Joshua Edmonds, CEO, DigitalC
This connectivity movement is powered by a coalition of philanthropy, public leadership, and private-sector changemakers:
Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Foundation
David & Inez Myers Foundation
State of Ohio
City of Cleveland
Rocket Community Fund
The George Gund Foundation
Microsoft
Plus, technology partners like Tarana Wireless, Cambium, InCoax, CTI Connect, WAV, Winncom, and others helped us design and scale Cleveland’s first citywide next-generation fixed wireless network.
Together, these partners make community-based broadband impactful with measurable results.

Parading our Purpose on Labor Day
The smiles, the energy, the overall vibes — the 11th Congressional District Community Caucus Labor Day Parade was pure Cleveland spirit.
This year, more DigitalC team and board members than ever joined the march, carrying our purpose into the streets: we connect people. Along the route, we connected face to face and neighbor to neighbor — hearing directly from subscribers about their experience with our service and the difference it is making.
Residents, ages 6-66, trained to pilot drones, proving you are never too young or old to skill up.
12,000+
Unique residents trained since 2024 — from first-time learners to seniors sharpening their digital edge.
15,000+
Total trainings facilitated — showing that many learners come back for more, multiplying confidence and skills.
From networks to net wins: DigitalC kicks its way to the finals
DigitalC came to play at the MidTown Kickball Tournament — taking 2nd place out of 24 teams after a close championship game against Western Reserve Land Conservancy. More important than the scoreboard, our crew demonstrated teamwork, resilience and grit. Our Coach/CEO/Teammate reminded us: how we do anything is how we do everything — a mantra we are carrying into the fourth quarter as we scale Cleveland’s network and growth opportunities.
Economic Impact: What Cleveland is gaining
DigitalC’s model is more than connection — it’s economic relief and community power. By offering high-speed home internet at $18/month (or at no cost to CMSD households), families are saving an estimated $3 million every year compared to market prices. That’s money redirected to rent, groceries, and healthcare instead of overpriced broadband bills.
